Wi-Fi QR Code Scanner

Drop, paste or photograph the code to see the network and its password.

Questions

Is the picture uploaded?

No. The picture is read on your device, and neither the picture nor the password is sent to our servers.

Why not just scan the code with the phone camera?

If you are joining from that phone, do: the camera connects without showing the password. This page is for a code in a photo, a screenshot or a message, and for when you need the password itself — for a laptop, a TV or a console.

Why was no code found?

The whole code has to be in the picture, sharp and without glare. Take the photo closer, or take a screenshot instead of photographing a screen.

How can I read a QR code that is not for Wi-Fi?

Use the QR code reader. This page reads Wi-Fi codes only; the QR code reader shows what another code says before you use it.

What are the warnings under the result?

Some codes are written in ways that some phones do not read: lowercase letters, quotes, a missing ending. The warnings say what phones may trip over, and when the network is clear, the page offers to make a corrected code.

Can it open HEIC photos?

It opens what your browser opens. Safari opens HEIC; in other browsers, share the photo as JPEG or take a screenshot of it.
