Do you save generated passwords?

No. mtool keeps no history — a password exists in this tab until you close it. Save the one you want to use before you leave the page.

Is the password sent anywhere?

No. It is created on your device, and we do not send it to our servers. The page loads its own files, but watch the network panel while you generate and copy: no request carries the password.

What if a website rejects the password?

Check the site's length and character rules. Change the length, turn symbols off, or put the symbols it accepts into the custom set under More settings.

Can I create several passwords at once?

Yes. Open More settings, say how many you need, then copy them one by one or all at once.

How long should a password be?

For anything that matters, sixteen characters or more. The strength figure says how hard this password is to guess; it says nothing about how a site stores it or whether it leaks somewhere else.

Should I use a passphrase instead?

If you have to type it by hand often, a passphrase of four or five random words is easier to live with at the same strength. For anything kept in a password manager, a random string is fine.
