Calling settings

Starting automatic mode calls one number immediately, then waits this long.

Available voices come from your browser and operating system.

How it works

  1. Choose timing and voiceKeep manual calling or select an automatic interval. Turn speech on and choose any voice your browser provides.
  2. Call and follow the boardCall the next number. It is announced, added to recent calls and marked on the 1–90 board; automatic mode continues at your interval.
  3. Pause, correct or resumePause before leaving the tab, repeat a number or undo the last call. Refreshing the page restores this game on the same device.

Questions

What is a Tambola number caller?

It is the host’s draw for Tambola, also called Housie and related to 90-ball bingo. This caller shuffles the integers 1–90, shows one at a time and marks every called number. Players use their own tickets and the host applies the event’s winning patterns.

Can the same number be called twice?

No. A new game creates one cryptographically shuffled order containing every number from 1 to 90 exactly once. Undo moves back one step, so the next call deliberately returns that same undone number; otherwise calls do not repeat.

Does it call Tambola numbers with voice?

Yes when the browser exposes speech. Turn on speech and choose a device voice; each new number and the Repeat action use it. Voice availability and pronunciation belong to the browser and operating system, so the visual caller remains the reliable fallback.

How does automatic calling work?

Choose 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 seconds. Start calls one number immediately and then waits that interval. It pauses if the tab becomes hidden and never resumes silently, so a host does not miss calls because a browser throttled background timers.

Will a refresh lose the game?

No on the same browser and device. The shuffled order, current position and harmless caller settings are stored locally and validated before restoration. Nothing is sent to mtool, and a corrupt saved game is replaced with a new fair deck. Some browser voices use online services and may send called numbers to the voice provider.

Does this make Tambola tickets or verify a winner?

No. Ticket generation, prize patterns and claim checking are separate jobs with different rules. This page only calls and records numbers 1–90, so the host should agree on prizes before the first call.
