Questions

Can I choose exactly which characters appear?

Yes. Choose a preset alphabet or Custom and enter visible ASCII characters. Repeated symbols are counted once. You can exclude exactly 0, O, 1, I and l; at least two different symbols must remain.

Does the length include a prefix or grouping?

No. Length is the number of randomly chosen characters. Prefix, suffix and separators are added afterward; the result shows both raw and formatted lengths.

Can binary strings have an odd length?

Yes. The Binary alphabet generates individual 0 and 1 characters, so any whole character length from 1 to 65,536 works. For encoded random bytes, use Random Token Generator.

Are the strings saved or sent anywhere?

Generated strings stay in this tab and are never sent or stored by mtool. Preset settings can be saved locally; custom alphabets and free text are not saved.
