Questions
Is my audio uploaded?
No. Your audio never leaves your device unless you choose to share the clips. The file is read and split inside a browser worker on your device. The tool sends no audio, filename or settings values to our servers. The site may send anonymous usage events without file details.
Does splitting reduce audio quality?
No re-encoding is performed. Encoded audio packets are copied into new files of the same codec. Cuts align to packet boundaries, so parts may be slightly longer or shorter than requested. Metadata, cover art and chapters are not copied.
Which files work?
Audio-only MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC and OGG, including OGG Opus and Vorbis, with one audio track and a supported codec. The actual file is checked; changing its extension does not make an unsupported format work. WebM, video and multitrack files are not supported in this version.
How many parts can I make?
Choose 2 to 100 equal parts, or set a length that creates no more than 100 parts. The last fixed-length part may be shorter. Files are limited to 100 MB, and available device memory can impose a lower practical limit.
